Switching on the appliance The appliance starts to cool after it is connected to the power supply. The lighting is switched on when the door is opened An acoustic warning tone sounds. Notes on using the appliance u After switching on the appliance, it may be several hours before the set temperatures are reached. Thanks to the fully automatic no-frost system, the freezer compartment remains ice-free. There is no longer any need to defrost it. u The front side of the housing is slightly heated. This prevents condensation from forming around the door seal. u If the freezer compartment door cannot be opened again soon after being closed, wait for a moment until the negative pressure has cleared. en Setting the temperature Figure Cooling compartment The temperature can be set from +2 oc up to +8 oc. Press button 4, "fridge/supern, repeatedly until display panel 5 displays the required refrigerator compartment temperature. The last set value is saved. Notes • Do not store perishable foods at temperatures higher than +4 0 C. • For short-term storage of food, a higher temperature can be set (energy-saving operation). When frequently opening the door and placing large quantities of food in the cooling compartment, a lower temperature should be set. Freezer compartment The temperature can be set from -15 up to -22 0 C. Press the "freezer/super" button 1 repeatedly until the display panel 7 shows that the required freezer compartment temperature is set. The last set value is saved. 11
