Steps with TCP/IP
You set a MAC or IP address in the "Ethernet (MAC) and IP Addresses" tab
(taskbar Start Ü Settings Ü Control Panel Ü Set PG/PC Interface Ü "Interface
parameter assignment used" list box Ü entry "CP1613(RFC1006)" Ü
Properties button Ü "Ethernet(MAC) and IP Addresses" tab). Then continue as
outlined in the table below:
Step Steps with TCP/IP
1 Select the "Ethernet(MAC) Address" "CP 1613" box.
Here, you can see the default Ethernet/(MAC) address of the
CP 1613 on the module. If you want to change this address, you
can enter a different address. Please remember that the
Ethernet/(MAC) address must be unique in a LAN. If you are in
doubt, ask your network administrator.
2 Select the "IP Addresses", "CP1613" box.
Here you can set an IP address for operation with TCP/IP
(RFC 1006). Operation with SEND/RECEIVE over TCP/IP (RFC
1006) is possible only when an address is entered. Please
remember that the IP address must be unique. If you are in doubt,
ask your network administrator. This IP address has no effect on
operation with PC networks.
3 Select the "IP Addresses", "Subnet Mask" box.
The default subnet mask is 255.255.0.0 whi ch can, if necessary, be
modified. If you are in doubt, ask your network administrator.
4 Select the "IP Addresses", "Gateway" box.
If you require operation with SEND/RECEIVE using TCP/IP
(RFC 1006) to partners outside the conne cted LAN, enter the
address of the gateway here. No further entries are necessary here.
Please remember that the IP address must be unique. If you are in
doubt, ask your network administrator. This IP address has no effe ct
on operation with PC networks.
5 Close the configuration program with OK.
