Stage 5 —Creating the TF Database
Creating the Database
You create a database with the "COML TF" program. Follow the steps outlined
below:
Start the "COML TF" program from the Simatic path (taskbar Start Ü Simatic Ü
SIMATIC NET Ü Industrial Ethernet Ü CP 1613 Ü Configuring with COML TF).
Activating the Database
You a ctivate a TF database in the "TF-Proto col" tab (taskbar Start Ü Settings Ü
Control Panel Ü Setting the PG/PC Interface Ü Access Path Ü Properties Ü
"TF-Protocol" tab). Then continue as outlined in the table below:
Step Action
1 Sele ct the che ck box "Activate TF" and cli ck the left mouse button.
The "TF Database" list box is a ctivated.
2 Enter a valid database in the "TF Database" list box.
3 Close the configuration program with OK.
Using the STF_CONF.DAT Configuration File
Using the STF_CONF.DAT configuration file, you can adapt the SIMATIC NET TF
Library to your requirements. The configuration file must be lo cated in the working
dire ctory, sin ce it is read during initialization of the SIMATIC NET TF Library
(TF_INIT).
Based on the spe cified parameters, the SIMATIC NET TF Library requests
dynami c memory. If this file does not exist, these parameters as shown in the
example are taken as the default (example of a configuration file in:
Program Files\Siemens\Simati c.net\tf1613\tf\sample\STF_CONF.DAT).
