Restriction
This stage is relevant only to users of the SEND/RECEIVE protocol.
Different Settings for TCP/IP and ISO
If you want to set the MAC or IP address, the steps required depend on the
transport protocol ("Interface parameter assignment used", "CP1613(ISO) or
CP1613(RFC1006)"). Both pro cedures are described below.
Steps for ISO
You set an Ethernet (MAC) address in the "Ethernet (MAC) and IP Addresses" tab
(taskbar Start Ü Settings Ü Control Panel Ü Set PG/PC Interface Ü "Interface
parameter assignment used" list box Ü entry "CP1613(ISO)" Ü Properties
button Ü "Ethernet (MAC) and IP Addresses" tab). Then continue as outlined in
the table below:
Step Steps for ISO
1 Sele ct the "Ethernet(MAC) Address" "CP 1613" box.
Here, you can see the default Ethernet/(MAC) address of the
CP 1613 on the module. If you want to change this address, you
can enter a different address. Please remember that the
Ethernet/(MAC) address must be unique in a LAN. If you are in
doubt, ask your network administrator.
2 Close the configuration program with OK.
