Title Statutory markings for two- or three-wheel motor vehicles 2.2.1.7.2. Manufacturer's data plate The manufacturer's data plate is firmly glued to the vehicle frame in the position as shown in Annex C, page 110. The plate contains all required information in an indelible form inside a clearly marked rectangle. 2.2.1.7.3. Vehicle identification number (VIN) The VIN is given on the manufacturer's data plate and is punched on right side of the steering head pipe. It is easily accessible and cannot be obliterated or changed easily. It is structured in three parts as indicated in the Annex to Directive 93/34/EEC. The beginning and end of this line is marked by a symbol which is neither an Arabic numeral nor a capital Latin letter, nor it is possible to confuse this with any such character. Characters All characters used on the manufacturer data plate and in the vehicle identification number are in accordance with the requirements of the Annex to Directive 93/34/EEC. 2.2.1.8. Position (location) and arrangement see Annex C, page 94, 96, 98 and 100. Geometric visibility complies with the requirements of Annex IV to Directive 93/92/EEC for all lighting and light-signalling devices. Electrical connections are according to Annex IV, paragraphs 6.1.9., 6.2.9, 6.3.9., 6.4.9., 6.5.8., 6.6.9., 6.9.2. and 6.10.9. of Directive 93/92/EEC. ...
