MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Before any deaning or rnaintertance ~don. unpiug the appliance from the tnairrs or trisconnect the
electrical power supply.
Periodically dean the refrigerator and freezer oornpartments with a sponge dampened in a solution of
lukevıann water and special detergent for refrigerator Interiors. Rinse and dry. Never use abrasive
desergents. Never dem refrigerator parts with liammable fiuids. The fumes can create a fire hazard or
explosion.
• Clean with a darnp doth.
Do not use abnislve products, scourers, stain-rernovers (e.g. acetone, trichforoethyfene)or vioegar.
Dry with a soft cloth.
• Both refrigerator and keezer compartrnents are pnwided with an autornatic defrosting function
(no frost sysesm).
• Da not use steam cleaners.
• Regularly dean the condenser (sıir vents at the rear of the appliance) with a vacuurn cleaner or a brush.
• Ensure the seals are always perfecdy clean.
VACATION
Short vacation
There is no need to disconnect die refrigerator from the power supply if you wiil be away for lens than
three weeks. Use up perishable food, freeze other food.
Long v-acation
Rernove all the food if you ara *Ging away for three *.veelis or more. Unplug the refrigerator and dean it,
rinse and dry.
Fix sorne wooden or plastk wedges to the upper port of both doors with adhesive tape and leave the
doors open enough for air to drculate Inside both corripartments. This will prevent odour and mould
frorn setting in.
Moving
• Take out all removable parts, wrap them well, and fix thern together with adhesive tape sa that they
do not bang together or get lost.
• Close and fix both doors with adhesive tape and, again using adhesive tape. fıx the power tablo to the
appllance.
Power feilore
In the event of a power failure, cilt the local office of your ElectricityComoany and ask how tong k is golag
ta Last.
. For power failures lasting up to 24 hours, keep both dama of d» appliance closed. This will allow
the stored food to stay told as tong as possfisle.
2. Should the power faılure last more than 24 hours, rensove all frozen food and put it in a portable
freezer with a key iade. if thls type of freezer is not available and, likewise, no artificial ice packs are
available, ey to use up the food ı.vhich la more easily perishable.

4. Empty the ice bucket.
Furtherrnore, a freezer fiili of frozen meat wifi stay cold langer than a freezer filled with pre-cooked
food.
If ice crystals are stili visible on the food, it may be frozen again, akhough flavour and arama may be
affected. If food la found to be in a poor coridition. it is beat to throw it away.
