Properties of the CP 561 4 FO
The CP 5614 FO has the properties of the CP 5614, instea d of the electrical
connection, however, the CP 5614 FO has an optical port for plastic or PCF fiber-
optic cables*

The CP 5614 FO consists of a main board with an a dditional piggy-back board* An
external power supply and two PROFIBUS networks can be connecte d:
• PROFIBUS 1 (PB 1) —optical
• PROFIBUS 2 (PB 2) —electrical
The assignment of master and slave functionality to the two ports can be set using
the configuration software*
With the connector for an external power supply, the optical PROFIBUS network
can continue to operate even if the PC with the CP 5614 FO mo dule is turne d off*
